TRUMP NATIONAL GOLF CLUB - LOS ANGELES -
The west coast is always a great place to tee it up, especially when the weather is great, We were out in Los Angeles hosting a group from South Korea for 5 days, and when we got the safely off on their flight, it was time to hit the links.
I called up our good buddy Frank Li, an entrepreneur/investor that I met on a golfing trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We were both on the driving range one afternoon, and I learned that he was from Beijing, not to far from where one of my apartments was when I lived there. From that point on, we were Beijing brothers, and played 3 times before I left Mexico.

This time,Li flew up from Oakland to come and join Allen and I for a round at the Trump International course. He met us at our hotel and we rolled out to the spot.
Trump International is a beautiful course on the Pacific Coast. The drive into the course parking lot is interesting... how you come over the hill and you just see the ocean like that.
Lots of Trump memorabilia in the lobby, as expected. The course was open fairways and large greens. To me, it was very player friendly, the pin placements were accessible, and if you hit the ball well, you could make a birdie or two.
I managed to squeeze a birdie out of it, and 6 pars. Li hit a couple of birdies, one on the front and one on the back. My man Allen hit some fairways and greens in regulation, but he always likes to go hunting for lost balls in the woods or water. I tell him all the time "that ball retriever is the best tool in your bag!!"

After the round, we enjoyed a nice steak in the clubhouse restaurant. Just what we all needed after a nice round. People can say whatever they want about Mr. Donald Trump, his ways, and his politics, but one thing that they cannot say is that his golf club in Los Angeles
isn't first class. If they do say it, it will just be FAKE NEWS!
