CALVIN MURPHY III
This is Calvin Murphy III or TREY As his family calls him. He has been one of the top performers on the Jack Yates high school basketball team since he arrived last year as a freshman.
Now in his sophomore season, he is also a member of the golf team. Murphy was the only member of the boys team to qualify for the Texas state regional tournament. After competing at the meet in Huntsville Texas, Murphy finished 33rd out of a total of 88 golfers.
Murphy was also selected by USA Basketball as part of a select group of the class of 2025 to participate in a private mini workout during the 2023 final four events in Houston.
The young man has a bright future in athletics is a two sport threat using basketball and golf.
